Watercolor

Bev is an Indiana native and has spent most of her life in the country. This has been a key element in influencing the content of her work.

"I find great inspiration spiritually and artistically from the sights and sounds of nature. After living a few years in Indianapolis and finding the hectic life there wasn't for me, I returned to country living here in Brown County."

Watercolor is her favorite medium although she also enjoys oils, acrylics and pen/ink. "I find the spontaneity and fluidity of watercolors a great challenge, but find this to be the best way to express my vision. I've been teaching children and adults for more than 30 years and enjoy sharing my love of painting with others. I spend time traveling the countryside with my two dogs, stopping to take photos, sketch a little or just delight in the beauty of Brown County."

Bev is a guest artist for the tour at the studio of Mindy Weddle.
