Knitting and spinning natural (mostly) fibersLaura grew up on the south side of Indianapolis and was taught to knit at a very young age by her grandmother. She never really did anything with that knowledge until she retired and a friend asked her to go along with her to a knitting class at Sheep Street. She has been obsessed ever since! Her past work experience has been about as varied as some of her knitting projects: a secretary, farmer, store clerk, waitress and last but not least, paralegal. She moved to Brown County in 1990 and has loved it ever since! Laura's knitting "went public" a couple of years ago at the first Artful Dining Gala, and last year a piece she knit was on the winning table (along with Oak Grove Pottery) for best autumn design, as well as having sold as part of the silent auction. Besides knitting, for fun she loves to garden, read, hike and backpack.
