Gourd art, mixed media
Sharon Jungclaus-Gould creates fine gourd art, mixed media paintings, traditional painting and precious metal clay silver jewelry. A great nature lover, she also draws inspiration from the Southwest high desert and mountains and the textures and colors that those places impart.
Sharon embellishes gourds with dyes, woodburning, carving and painting. She also creates mixed media art that combines collage, paint, Primacolor pencil along with fibers and textures.
She is a graduate of Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, but has been a practicing occupational therapist for almost 30 years. Using art media with her patients and clients has been a wonderful tool to enhance their healing and health.
