MosaicsAfter spending 30+ years in corporate and raising children I have embarked on a second career. I have no art background although have created with sewing and cooking. Six years ago mosaic classes were taken from Susan Threehawks and the fever began in earnest five years ago and the desire grows stronger each and every day. Mosaic bases consists of furniture, yard art, picture frames and numerous household accessories. Each item created is one of a kind and embellished with stained glass, pottery, china, gemstones, old jewelry, stones or other interesting items. I teach this medium with Susan Threehawks. I also am a certified massage therapist, reflexologist, and Reiki master. Connie can be contacted during the year through Ferrer Gallery in Nashville where she maintains a mosaic studio.

MosaicsMany years were spent “testing” art mediums until the attraction of stained glass was introduced. I have always had a great attraction to stained glass. Stained glass classes were taken from Julie Milloy and this held my focus until mosaic was stumbled upon and I could combine my painting, stained glass and imagination to unbelievable possibilities. Most of my pieces have scenes of nature, animal or mystical. Mosaic bases consist of one of a kind furniture, back splashes, picture frames, guitars, headboards and much more. Each item created is one of a kind and embellished with stained glass, pottery, china, gemstones, old jewelry, stones or other interesting items. I also teach this medium with Connie Simmonds.
